I am SOOOO happy with this! I wanted to do something with the leftover red fabric from my nephew's spider man pillow, but I didn't want to make any red narwhals. I thought they just weren't quite right in red, especially not this thicker, more fuzzy material.

I took a look at my old pattern for [link] which was mostly destroyed. And I decided I should just try again using everything I learned making that one.

I looked at lots of betta pictures and simplified, cartoon bettas, then I doodled my own, but it was too small. So I scanned it, enlarged it, and printed it. I just bought this printer/scanner last week and I am already in love with how easy it makes my life. Before, I'd have had to have waited until monday, gone to my school, scanned it on the 7th floor, printed on the 4th floor, and hoped it all worked right. Gosh it was so simple.

Yeah. Anyway. I'm rambling. I'm so pleased that I'm already making a purple veiltail with the same pattern, just modified tails.

I had a betta all through college who was basically the coolest fish ever. I really love betta fish as a result. They make such neat pets.

Wow. That sucks.

I was always worried about my cat eating mine, but he actually used to drink out of its bowl. Somedays he would drink half the water or more and I'd find the poor fish on the bottom looking very upset about it all.

yea i bet it was. did you put it high enough so your cat wouldn't drink out of the bowel?
